Britain is apparently beginning to recognize the harm to future generations of drifting away from its Judeo-Christian roots. A poll conducted by The Christian Institute found that 52 percent of those surveyed believed that if Britain “continues to move away from its Christian roots, it will be to the detriment of future generations.”

In addition, 58 percent of those surveyed believed that Christianity “has something positive to offer the way Britain is governed.”

Leaders Gather to Discuss Future of Britain’s Christian Heritage

During a conference in Oxford earlier in the month entitled “Christian Revival: Our Post-Liberal Hope,” a group of Christian politicians, theologians, and public commentators explored how Europe’s Judeo-Christian heritage has influenced their civilization, and what the future of Britain may look like going forward, according to The Christian Post.

“As the debate about Britain’s future intensifies, the poll points to a central challenge for politics, churches, and civic institutions alike,” Andrew Hawkins, chief executive of Whitestone Insight, told attendees. “Can moral renewal be rebuilt through shared responsibility and lived example — or will moral anxiety continue to be channeled into polarization and identity politics?”

English actor and screenwriter John Cleese is especially concerned about the Muslim influence that’s intensifying in the United Kingdom.

“Despite the many mistakes made by churches,” Cleese wrote in a post on his X account picked up by CBN, “for centuries, British people have been influenced by Christ’s teaching. If these values are replaced by Islamic ones, this will not be Britain anymore.”

Vice President J.D. Vance Warned EU about ‘Threat from Within’

On February 7, 2025, J.D. Vance warned the EU at the Munich Security Conference that he wasn’t worried about an external threat in connection to Europe’s future. He said he’s worried about, “The threat from within. The retreat of Europe from some of its most fundamental values. Values shared with The United States of America.”

Vance took a lot of criticism for that initially, but now there are people who are beginning to speak out in support of what he said.

Member of the British House of Lords and Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) CEO Baroness Philippa Stroud has said that she believes that Vance was right. “We actually have to face up to, is there anything that we want to be defending?”

She went on to question what’s being defended if civilizations in the West aren’t valuing and defending their foundational principles. Stroud noted the importance of “rediscovering our inheritance,” especially from the angle of Judeo-Christian values. She warned that the ruins of ancient Rome and Greece should serve as a reminder of the importance of taking care of what’s precious to you, according to Fox News Digital.

Bishop Calls on King Charles to Take Action

Bishop Ceirion H. Dewar FSHC has written an open letter to King Charles that was picked up by G Media Team, in which he stated he “cannot remain silent while the Christian foundations of this kingdom are steadily dismantled.”

The letter, which received 2 million views and 56,000 likes on X, went on to note that Britain’s Christian faith “has defined her,” and that it’s being “deliberately eroded” as the nation’s believers experience a “growing hostility toward the faith.”

He called on the King to take action and defend the nation’s Christian heritage.
