1. Destination Heaven (Great American Pure Flix)

Every day, people facing extraordinary events come face to face with God. Harry Lennix (Batman vs. SupermanMan of Steel) portrays God. It’s a six-episode series that runs through June 20, with a new title dropping each Thursday. It also stars Emily Rose, Kevin Sorbo, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Doug Jones, Carrie Wampler, John Michael Finley, and Hero Hunter. It’s a Great American Pure Flix original.

2. Harmony from the Heart (Great American Pure Flix)

A music therapist faces resistance in her efforts to help an elderly man regain his speech -- and unexpectedly encounters romance with his grandson along the way. This rom-com stars Jessica Lowndes and Jesse Metcalfe and is one of several movies launching on Great American Pure Flix in June. Others are Plus One at an Amish Wedding (June 20), Christian Mingle(June 20), and Peppermint and Postcards(currently streaming).

3. The Lego Batman Movie (Netflix)

Batman overcomes his fear of having a family as he realizes loneliness is not a virtue. He also adopts a young boy and saves Gotham. This 2017 film was the third installment in the Lego movie franchise. It also grossed $175 million at the domestic box office and garnered an A- CinemaScore from audiences. It starred Will Arnett as the voice of Batman, Michael Cera as Robin, Zach Galifianakis as the Joker, and Rosario Dawson as Barbara Gordon/Batgirl. Rated PG for rude humor and some action.

4. MeTV Toons (Various)

America’s No. 1 “classic television network” launches a cartoon-centric network. MeTV Toons is a new channel from MeTV, which launched nationally in 2010 and is known for oldies like The Andy Griffith Network and M*A*S*H. MeTV Toons is geared squarely toward children and offers classic cartoons: Bugs Bunny and Friends, The Flintstones, and The Tom and Jerry Show, for example. 5. Unsung Hero (Home Video)

A recently emigrated family struggles to make ends meet in the U.S. after the father’s job opportunity falls through. It’s the true-life, faith-based story of David and Helen Smallbone, who moved from Australia to Tennessee in the early 1990s but faced uncertainty when his job didn’t materialize. Eventually, their daughter -- Rebecca St. James -- became a CCM star. Much later, two of their sons formed For King and Country. Daisy Betts (Last Resort, Chicago Fire) portrays Helen Smallbone. Rated PG for thematic elements. It’s currently streaming on digital platforms; the DVD/Blu-ray edition will be released on July 9.

6. Forty-Seven Days With Jesus (Home Video)

A mother and father facing marital strife are reconnected as they tell their children the story of Jesus’ final days on Earth. This faith-based drama/musical stars two actors who are well-known for their roles in The Chosen: Catherine Lidstone and Yoshi Barrigas. (Lidstone is Mary of Bethany in The Chosen, while Barrigas played Phillip in the first two seasons. “Hope is found because they don’t give up on each other,” Lidstone told Crosswalk, referencing Forty-Seven Days With Jesus

7. Wonder (Netflix)

A boy who was born with facial deformities attends school for the first time in his life. Wonder is based on the popular children’s novel of the same name by R.J. Palacio and follows the story of Auggie, who was homeschooled his entire life before entering middle school, where he makes friends but also faces a bully. It’s a heartwarming movie with a strong anti-bullying message. A principal tells a mom and dad that Auggie can’t change the way he looks, but “maybe we can change the way we see.” It stars Owen Wilson as his dad and Julia Roberts as his mom. Rated PG for thematic elements, including bullying and some mild language. (Clearplay and VidAngel have filters.)
