Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 15

Today's episode of Leaving the Grandstand World deals with fear. My song today features "Monarch Butterfly," a whimsical look at what happens when a gigantic butterfly invades the area. The poem is entitled, "Fear" and the teaching for today is, "Be Not Afraid," from my book, A Course in Christianity.

We Are Free

I wrote this songs several years ago, and wanted to share it on the 4th to remind us what it truly means to be free.

I Can't Wait To Go Home - Rollie Tom

My home is in heaven

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 14

This episode of Leaving the Grandstand World features a poem, "I Can Hear the Harmony," a song, "Intimate Mystery." I include a short explanation from my wife, Eva, on the special Holy Spirit inspired way this song was birthed then I conclude with a teaching from my book, A Course in Christianity "Notifications."

Jesus instead of Cocaine

Back when I was an atheistic, alcoholic drug user & dealer, I loved the Eric Clapton song Cocaine. Still do like the tune. Just like my converted to God lyrics better.

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 12

We are all rivers either flowing downstream filled with the muck and mire of the world or, going against the world's ways and supernaturally flowing upstream casting worldly cares aside, sharing Godly traits of love, peace, and forgiveness. Flowing upstream is hard because we're going against the status quo but, remember, with God all things are possible so it really isn't difficult, is it?

Today I share my joy through a poem, "I Could Be a River," a song, "My Faith Is in You, Lord," and a short selection from my book, The Traveler, which is about a man who encounters a supernatural Christian mentor whom he communicates with through his computer. It is chapter 29, "The Wishing Well."

Here is Love vast as the Ocean - translated to Norwegian (via original Welsh)

This video spans 4 languages: Welsh, Norwegian, English and "kanaanspråk" ("internal chapel lingo") ;-D But the song, though well known seems never to have been translated to Norwegian, which is such a pity that something had to be done about it.

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 11

Do you believe in Newspaper Dragons? I don't either but I used to deliver them when I was a kid and I see them on the bottom of parakeet cages and blowing in the wind sometimes. They are words we use to describe our fragmented worlds. Fragmented sentences depicting a fragmented world. We can do better than that. Our words can give us life or death. Let's not believe and make true all this fragmentation. Let's believe and make true God's word--His words of life. Good idea, huh?

This episode has a poem, "I Am a Dragon," a song, "I Found That I Know Nothing," and a teaching from one of my books, A Course in Christianity from a chapter entitled, "My String Theory."

Marco Avaro - Il buon pastore

This video aim to promote an Italian Christian artist I love: Marco Avaro.
This song is about the closeness of God to the sinner.

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 9

In this episode I share a song that came in a rather supernatural way. "Jesus Made a Whip of Cords" then another Biblically based creative effort comes your way. The poem is entitled, "Jonah" and I wrap it up with some teaching from my book, A Course in Christianity. The chapter is entitled, "Exploring the Truth on the Internet."

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 8

We are leaving the Grandstand World, the world of spectatorship, the world of victimhood, the world of fear and doubt. Next stop? The playing field!

The poetry begins with my poem, "The Dream." Next you'll hear our song, "Eternity." Then the teaching is from my spiritual autobiography, The Opening Window. The chapter is entitled, "Pedaling Backward."

Leaving the Grandstand World - Episode 6

This episode of Leaving the Grandstand World looks into love. God's pure love is often superseded by mankind's convoluted twisted love. The song is, "The Call for Love." The poetry today is entitled, "Sustaining Love" and the talk which is a chapter in "A Holy Hodgepodge," is "The Mechanism of Carnal Love."

Purity - Rollie Tom

The purity in God's creation is everywhere to be seen if one takes the time to look

No fear

Two Bible verses that are going to inspire us and give us ability to have courage to carry on each and every day. God bless
