Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 4 - I'll Trust Your Heart

The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the Psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. Psalm 4 - I'll Trust Your Heart [Intro, Expressive piano + soft strings] (Mmm… I’m calling out tonight…) (Oh, listen to my heart…) [Verse 1, Tender piano and pads] You are my light, my protector and peace, Answer my heart when I’m down on my knees. In my despair, You carried me through, Opened my cage, and freedom was You. How long will I chase what fades away, When love like Yours is here to stay? [Pre-Chorus, Gentle electric guitar enters] You heard my cry when no one cared, Your mercy spoke, I know You’re there. [Chorus, Soaring vocals with orchestral lift] You’ve chosen love, You’ve chosen me, You’re the truth my soul believes. When shadows fall, I’ll stand in grace, And feel Your heartbeat take its place. In quiet nights, I’ll search within, And let Your promise wash my sin. I’ll trust Your word, I’ll trust my heart, Where You begin, I’ll never part. [Verse 2, Piano and strings build slowly] Some still ask, “Who’ll bring us light?” But Your kindness breaks the night. You fill my cup, my joy runs deep, A peace so pure, it lets me sleep. The world may fade, but I still find, Your love forever intertwined. [Pre-Chorus, Gentle percussion joins] Each breath I take reminds me how, You lift the weight, You keep this vow. [Chorus, Full arrangement, emotional swell] You’ve chosen love, You’ve chosen me, You’re the truth my soul believes. When shadows fall, I’ll stand in grace, And feel Your heartbeat take its place. In quiet nights, I’ll search within, And let Your promise wash my sin. I’ll trust Your word, I’ll trust my heart, Where You begin, I’ll never part. [Bridge, Emotional string swells, heartfelt delivery] When I was lost, You set me free, You heard my prayer, You rescued me. I call Your name, I find my calm, Your touch, my shelter, safe and strong. [Final Chorus, Soaring power ballad climax] You’ve chosen love, You’ve chosen me, You’re the truth my soul believes. When shadows fall, I’ll stand in grace, And feel Your heartbeat take its place. Through every storm, through every scar, I’ll trust Your love, it’s who You are. I’ll trust Your word, I’ll trust my heart, Where You begin… I’ll never part. [Outro, Gentle piano + soft fade of strings] (Mmm… I’ll never part…) (Where You begin… You hold my heart…) --- notes: Words updated for song lyrics, changes made to focus on the individual rather than the audience Style: 90s–2000s power ballad, expressive piano, orchestral pads, emotional strings, gentle electric guitar, warm male vocal with heartfelt vibrato and cinematic lift

Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 3 - Not Afraid Anymore

The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the Psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Psalm 3 - Not Afraid Anymore [Intro, Acoustic guitar riff + organ hum] (Mm, yeah… I’ve walked through the fire, Lord…) (But I ain’t bowin’ down no more…) [Verse 1, Gritty acoustic + soft drum shuffle] Got a thousand voices tryin’ to tear me apart, They whisper, “God ain’t comin’, you’re losin’ heart.” But You’re my shield when the night won’t end, My soul defender, my faithful friend. I call Your name, You hear me still, Your grace comes down from that sacred hill. [Pre-Chorus, Low growl with rising tension] When the dark closes in, I remember Your flame, You lift me up, I won’t drown in shame. [Chorus, Big soulful southern rock lift, harmony vocals] I sleep and wake, my soul restored, You fight my battles, You are the Lord. Ten thousand fears can circle me ‘round, But I’m still standin’, I won’t back down. You cover me deep in Your holy fire, I’m not afraid anymore — no, I’m not tired. [Verse 2, Steady beat, organ swells, soulful delivery] They said I’d break, they said I’d fall, But mercy caught me through it all. Your hand reached down through the smoke and lies, And pulled me up where freedom flies. Now my chains are rust, my fear’s long gone, You gave me strength to carry on. [Pre-Chorus, Building intensity] The battle’s loud, but I hear Your voice, In the storm I still rejoice. [Chorus, Full band, electric guitar and choir backing] I sleep and wake, my soul restored, You fight my battles, You are the Lord. Ten thousand fears can circle me ‘round, But I’m still standin’, I won’t back down. You cover me deep in Your holy fire, I’m not afraid anymore — no, I’m not tired. [Bridge, Gritty blues guitar solo + emotional vocals] Come save me, Lord, break the chains tonight, Crush the lies that kill the light. Shatter the teeth of the enemy’s roar, Your truth is my weapon, I’m free once more. [Final Chorus, Choir harmonies + soaring guitars] I sleep and wake, my soul restored, You fight my battles, You are the Lord. Ten thousand fears can circle me ‘round, But I’m still standin’, I won’t back down. You cover me deep in Your holy fire, I’m not afraid anymore — I’m alive, inspired! [Outro, Acoustic fade + organ sustain] (Mm… I’m not afraid anymore…) (You broke my chains… opened the door…) (Yeah, I’m not afraid anymore…) --- notes: Words updated for song lyrics style: Southern rock worship, blues-infused, resonant acoustic guitar, gritty electric riffs, warm organ pads, steady heartfelt drums, raspy soulful male vocals with harmony-lifted chorus

The Race - By Mark R. Spencer

This song focuses on those of us who seek Heaven as our finish line. If we cross that line, in pursuit of the Salvation of Jesus, everybody wins the race. It's only when we seek earthly prizes that we lose.

The Word Of The Lord - By Mark R Spencer

Nothing can defeat the Word Of The Lord! God is truth, and, like God, truth is absolute. It's what IS. Our truth is grounded in earthly desires, pride, greed, narcissism, and so on (If we believe it, it must be true). THE truth is grounded in what is, whether we believe it or not. And if you could ask truth it's name, the reply you'd receive would likely be: "I AM, that I AM".

Richard Lynch Kris Kristofferson cover - Why Me Lord

Christian country video from Richard Lynch, covering Kris Kristofferson classic

Eddy Mann - O' Come

Christmas video from chart topping Christian Americana artist

This is the Lord's Prayer

Having a conversation with the Lord, is really as easy as reciting the Lord’s prayer, and then… talk away! I remember first hearing a musical rendition of the Lord’s Prayer, and it left me wanting, mostly because it was impossible for me to sing. I wanted to remedy that, and ended up writing three new versions, and finally settled on this one. Sing it to yourself as often as you can. Everything I read in the Bible tells me that God loves to be praised with music!

Put On the Full Armor of God

Christianity is under attack. World wide for sure… and even in our own country. And there are two kinds of attacks, one is actual physical attack. The other is the subtle, behind-the-scenes attack of Satan… what Christians recognize as spiritual warfare. This music video is to remind us that Satan is REAL, and that the Bible tells us what to do and how to prepare for these attacks, in Ephesians 6:10-13.

Music Video: Your Word Guiding Me

As we head into the new year and start thinking about resolutions, I realized that the resolution I needed the most was to make sure to let scriptures guide me more going into next year. Matthew 6:33 was one of the passages that inspired this song. What are your plans for the new year?

The Father, The Son, The Holy Ghost, And You - By Mark R. Spencer

Every now and then, you'll meet that special someone who makes you want to live with them forever, and walk into that eternal sunset, with the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.

Love - By Mark R. Spencer

What is the truest form of love. Is it companionship? Is it a bond between two human hearts? Or is it more than that?

Those Words In Red

"Those Words In Red" expresses how my walk with Christ was established at an early age by often going to church with my grandparents, uncle and often cousins. How we were told the importance of paying close attention to what the preacher said. And how when I was young many times the word was not just powerful because of the scriptures but because of how those scriptures were shared.

Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart

"Let The Peace Of God Rule Your Heart" shares how we should turn away from our sinful lives and embrace God so we can have peace in our minds and heart. How through true dedication we can show the love and kindness we should have for others.

Love And Grace

Love And Grace Family Resource Ministry is where we combine sharing God's word and Love through scripture and physical food thru our weekly "Food Share" program. Our song "Love And Grace" shares how Love And Grace isn't just a place but a way of life. How helping others is an important part of our Christian walk by actually being the feet and hands of Christ. The video shares the lyrics and song cover.

Revival

Our song "Revival" shares the news of revival sweeping the nation especially among young people. Hopefully they fully understand the commitment expected by God and it is not just a feel-good movement. The video shares the lyrics and song cover.
