This song was written in 1947 by a man who 3 years before had been saved and rescued from a life of alcoholism. He went on to become a well-known evangelist. It is filled with powerful longing and hope, and has stood the test of time. The person singing this version does it in gypsy-style, and he himself was from that persecuted minority, but the scandinavian branch -sometimes known as 'taters'.

Caridad, music by Ezekiel du Bois<br /><br />Caridad is from a collection of four pieces I was inspired to write very reminiscent of our ministry to the frontier farmers and villagers in Columbia, South America where we lived for six months.<br /><br />Each evening after the days work the people would bring out their native instruments relax by playing a local game of sorts consisting of a clay mound, pitching pebbles at pieces of paper to knock them off.
