As the war in Iran continues to rage, the persecuted church is growing! And so is the need for Bibles and other teaching materials. It’s estimated that there are between 1 and 2 million Christians in Iran who are a part of the persecuted church. With Islam being the dominant religion, Christianity and evangelism have been outlawed, but both pastors and laymen are carefully calling out for the need to have Bibles in the Iran’s Persian language, according to The Christian Newswire.

Bibles for Iran

One ministry in particular that’s attempting to stand in the gap regarding this need is Bibles for Iran. In addition to written Bibles, audio Bibles are also being made available. Internet connectivity in Iran is approximately one percent of normal levels, as those in power in Iran control who can communicate with the outside world, according to Newsweek. So most communication and news alerts are still blocked, and hardcopy Bibles are desperately needed. Additional information on how to come alongside this ministry can be obtained by emailing cubinero@proton.me.

Armenian Church Embraces Iranian Refugees

There’s a church in the country of Armenia that’s just over the Iranian border and has been opening its doors to Christian Iranian refugees, according to a CBN report picked up by The 700 Club.

One of the refugees expressed the cruelty of the Iranian regime and how Iranian Christians have endured it for 47 years, never imagining that they could be free of it.

Presently, the emotion that many refugees say they are experiencing is a strange blend of sadness and happiness. Sadness because of all of their friends and family who are still suffering in Iran, but happy that America and Iran have come to help.

Many Armenian churches are working alongside of humanitarian groups such as Operation Blessing to assemble hygiene kits, food packages, and emergency supplies in the anticipation that large numbers of Iranians will cross the border soon. Operation Blessing has been in the area for many years and has strong relationships with many Armenian pastors and their congregations, who help with assembling the packages.

Revelation Media Committed to Partnering with Iranian Underground Church

Another ministry partnering with underground churches is Revelation Media. As a Christian media outlet, their focus is on creating Christian media such as the iBible Storybook and The Real Story of Jesus illustrated storybook. CEO and Founder Steve Cleary released a statement on Sunday in which he indicated that these books would be used “specifically for evangelism” since “So many Iranians have turned their backs on Islam and are looking for the Truth.”

He also noted that, “While Christians in Iran still face real danger, the turmoil of war has created unexpected moments of openness. Even now, our brothers and sisters are courageously sharing the Gospel whenever opportunities arise.”
Cleary said he’s committed to printing 50,000 copies of The Real Story of Jesus in the Farsi language. Additional information about his vision can be found here.
