Hymns are severely underutilized pieces of music. For instance, a lot of churches have abandoned hymns altogether, choosing instead to go with contemporary Christian music for the worship portions of their Sunday morning services. But that practice by many houses of worship baffles the mind. Many hymns are short, straight to the point and don’t have all the flowery language that many contemporary Christian songs do.
