Russia reclaims Kursk region All Ukrainian troops have been forced from parts of Russia’s Kursk region, which Moscow lost control of last year to a surprise Ukrainian incursion, Russia’s top general said in a Kremlin meeting Saturday. Russia’s General Staff chief, also confirmed that North Korean soldiers fought against Ukrainian troops in Russia’s Kursk region. Ukrainian officials, speaking before the announcement, said their troops continue to fight in Kursk. The attacks came hours before U.S. President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met in Vatican City on the sidelines of the funeral of Pope Francis. Word says Farwell to Pope Francis Trump was joined by world leaders and Catholic faithful to say farewell to Pope Francis. French President Emmanuel Macron, the U.N. chief and European Union leaders, as well as Prince William and the Spanish royal family, were in attendance. After the Mass in St. Peter’s Square, Swiss Guards carried the coffin to St. Mary Major Basilica, where -- breaking with recent tradition – Francis will be buried, in a simple underground tomb… welcomed by prisoners and migrants. Some 250,000 people flocked to the funeral, held on a brilliant spring day. Watch Pope Francis’ funeral: SNC.TV/POPE And you can watch Pope Francis’ funeral anytime at SNC.TV/POPE
